Quark was the owner of the bar on Terok Nor. A weak little coward, Quark actually worked up the courage to help a number of Terran slaves escape from the control of the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. However, his role in the operation was exposed by a recaptured slave, and he was arrested. Despite making a personal plea to Intendant Kira Nerys, she ordered his immediate execution. (DS9: "Crossover")
Quark's brother Rom later joined the Terran Rebellion to avenge his brother's death, and his nephew Nog took over the bar. (DS9: "Through the Looking Glass"; DS9: "Shattered Mirror")
